WordPress Security Hardening Service

Most hacked WordPress sites were not targeted personally. They were scanned by bots and found unprotected. Close those doors before someone walks through.

Sound familiar?

If any of this is happening, you are losing money.

These are the problems I fix most often. Each one has a clear, permanent solution.

The real cost: visitors rarely complain. They leave quietly, and you never see the sale you missed.
  1. 01

    Outdated plugins and themes

Known vulnerabilities are the number one way sites get hacked.

  2. 02

    Constant login attempts

Bots try thousands of passwords against wp-login.php every day.

  3. 03

No firewall in front of the site

Malicious traffic reaches WordPress and your server directly.

  4. 04

    Backups that were never tested

A backup you cannot restore is not a backup.

  5. 05

    Many admins, shared passwords

One leaked password is enough to take over the whole site.

  6. 06

    Host default settings

Loose file permissions and exposed files give attackers an easy path.

Bots test your login thousands of times a day.

You do not need to be famous to be attacked. You only need to be online and unprotected.

Cleaning up a hack costs ten times more than preventing it.

Lost sales, blacklisted domains and angry customers. Hardening is the cheap part.

Locked doors. Tested backups. Quiet nights.

A secure site is one you stop thinking about, because it simply keeps working.

BEFOREAFTER

Illustrative example based on a typical project. Your results depend on your site.

A complete hardening of your WordPress site: server, core, plugins, logins and backups, tested and documented.

Why WordPress sites get hacked

WordPress powers a huge share of the web, which makes it the biggest target for automated attacks. Bots constantly try known plugin vulnerabilities, weak passwords, outdated PHP versions and exposed admin files. The result is injected spam pages, redirects to malicious sites, stolen customer data, blacklisting by Google and weeks of lost traffic.

WordPress security hardening reduces that risk dramatically by removing the easy paths in. It is far cheaper than recovering from an infection.

What I harden

  • Login protection: two-factor authentication, login attempt limits, a protected login URL and a strong password policy.
  • Web application firewall: a managed WAF (Cloudflare or a server-level firewall) to block malicious traffic before it reaches WordPress.
  • Core, plugins and themes: everything updated, abandoned or vulnerable plugins replaced and unused code removed.
  • Files and server: correct ownership and permissions, wp-config.php protected, file editing disabled in the dashboard.
  • Security headers and SSL: HSTS, X-Frame-Options, Content-Security-Policy basics and a clean HTTPS setup.
  • Backups: automatic off-site backups with a restore that I actually test.
  • Monitoring: malware scans, file-change detection and uptime alerts.

Hardening versus malware clean-up

Hardening is preventive. If your site is already showing spam, strange redirects or a browser warning, you need WordPress malware removal first, and hardening afterwards so it does not happen again. If you want this watched continuously, it is included in monthly WordPress maintenance.

What you receive

A short security report listing what was found, what was changed and what to keep an eye on, plus clear instructions for your team on passwords, user roles and safe updates.

FAQ

Questions, answered

Still unsure? Ask me directly. It is free and there is no obligation.

Is my WordPress site really at risk if it is small?

Yes. Attacks are automated and do not care about the size of your site. Small sites are often attacked more successfully because they are less protected.

Can a security plugin do all of this?

A plugin helps, but it cannot fix server permissions, outdated PHP, a weak host configuration or a vulnerable theme. Real hardening combines plugin settings, server configuration and good habits.

Will hardening slow down my site?

No. A good setup blocks bad traffic early, which often reduces server load. I also check speed after the changes.

Do you guarantee my site will never be hacked?

Nobody can honestly guarantee that. Hardening removes the common attack paths, limits the damage if something goes wrong and makes sure you can restore quickly from a tested backup.

Can you also monitor the site every month?

Yes. Ongoing monitoring, updates and backups are part of the monthly maintenance plans.

Do you work on WooCommerce stores?

Yes. Stores get extra attention: payment pages, customer data, admin roles and order-related plugins.

What do I need to give you?

A temporary administrator account and, if possible, hosting access. You can remove the access when the work is finished.

How do I get a quote?

Message me with your website address. After a quick look I send a fixed quote based on the size of the site and the number of issues found.
